The first courses for sisters of mercy began in Chelyabinsktranslated

In the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ, with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexy of Chelyabinsk and Miass, a prayer service was held before the launch of the city’s first courses for sisters of mercy. The service was performed by the head of the department of social ministry of the Chelyabinsk diocese, Priest Pavel Kurbatov. The six-month training program includes 24 classes in three areas: the basics of the Orthodox faith and church life, social service and practical assistance to those in need, as well as the psychology of communication with clients, understanding the nature of pain and the prevention of emotional burnout. The courses are held at the Center for Training of Church Specialists in full-time and distance learning formats.
