The Day of Family, Love and Fidelity was celebrated in Blagoveshchensktranslated

On July 12, a festive concert “Everything Starts with Love” dedicated to the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity took place in the Pervomaisky Park of Blagoveshchensk.

The holiday, established on the day of remembrance of the holy noble princes Peter and Fevronia of Murom, was held with the blessing of Archbishop Lucian of Blagoveshchensk and Tyndinsk.

The organizer of the event was the head of the cultural department of the Annunciation diocese, Priest Evgeny Semernya. The holiday took place with the support of the parish of the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow.”

The Chairman of the Annunciation Diocese Commission on Family Issues, Protection of Motherhood and Childhood, Priest Svyatoslav Shevchenko, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. He told the townspeople about the spiritual meaning of the holiday, the feat of Saints Peter and Fevronia, emphasizing that a strong family is built on love, mutual respect, loyalty and responsibility to each other.

Throughout the holiday, there was a spiritual and educational space organized by the sister of the diocesan Relief Society, Elena Liufa. Visitors could get acquainted with Orthodox literature devoted to family issues, raising children and spiritual life.
