The online stage of the festival “Bunica și Bunelul Fest” started in Balti

The online stage of the festival “Bunica și Bunelul Fest” 2026 has begun in Balti. This year, more than 500 people from Moldova and Romania have registered to participate. Among the participants are older people who perform individually, in pairs and in groups.

The festival is dedicated to the older generation. Its purpose is to show that older people remain active, creative and vital to their communities. Participants sing, dance, tell family stories, show photographs, handmade works, recipes and habits that help them lead an active life.

The online stage will last until September 14. During this time, viewers can watch the performances of the participants on Facebook and YouTube, like and make public reposts. These votes will be taken into account when summing up the results.

What competitions are held online?

The festival is held in a hybrid format: first, participants present their works online, and then the finalists will meet in person in Balti.
