Days of Russian Spiritual Culture open in Armenia: in the center - performances of a unique choir and an exhibition about Patriarch Kirilltranslated

On September 30 and October 1, 2026, the Days of Spiritual Culture of Russia will be held in the cities of Yerevan and Gyumri in Armenia.

The main event will be the first performance in Armenia of the Academic Big Choir “Masters of Choral Singing” of the TV and Radio Center “Orpheus” - one of the oldest Russian choral groups, the press service of the ANO “Russian Seasons”, which is the organizer, told Foma magazine.

It is clarified that the Academic Big Choir, created in 1928, is today one of the leading choral groups in Russia and is known in many countries around the world. Russian sacred music occupies a special place in his repertoire.

“Every time I come to warm, hospitable Armenia, I experience the great joy of communicating with wonderful people, and the pleasure of contemplating ancient cultural monuments,” said the artistic director and chief conductor of the choir, People’s Artist of Russia, Professor Lev Kontorovich. – I am very glad that now our team can introduce Armenian listeners to Russian performing arts and Russian spiritual culture. We really hope that our tour will bring good results.
