Metropolitan Nikandr received a letter of gratitudetranslated

Metropolitan Panteleimon of Lugansk and Alchevsk sent a letter of gratitude to Metropolitan Nikandr of Vladimir and Suzdal following the pilgrimage visit of the delegation of the Lugansk diocese to the Vladimir-Suzdal land on October 9–10, 2026.

The letter says the following:

“Your Eminence, dear Lord Nikander!

I sincerely thank you for the brotherly love, archpastoral attention and warm hospitality shown to me and the delegation of the Lugansk Diocese during the pilgrimage visit to the Vladimir Diocese on October 9-10, 2026.

It is a great joy and spiritual consolation for us to visit the shrines of the ancient Vladimir-Suzdal land, to touch its rich historical and spiritual heritage, to offer prayers at the shrines that preserve the blessed memory of the ascetics of piety and the great events of the church history of the Fatherland.

I express special gratitude to you for the opportunity to celebrate the Divine Liturgy with you in the Holy Dormition Cathedral in Vladimir. Serving at the Throne of God in the unity of prayer and Eucharistic communion has become for us evidence of the indestructible fraternal unity in Christ and the living spiritual connection between our Dioceses.
