An educational project brought children from a Romanian community in England closer to their mother tonguetranslated

The children of the "Roots and Wings" Romanian School in Gravesend, England, completed on Tuesday the courses of an educational project dedicated to bringing them closer to their mother tongue.
The activities were coordinated by Teofana Cripner and Ioana Lucaciu, who guided the participants throughout the entire program.
Entitled "Ambassadors of the Romanian Language", the study program aimed to support the preservation of the Romanian language among children growing up outside the country and to offer them opportunities to strengthen their connection with the family's cultural heritage.
The initiative consisted of ten meetings where participants practiced oral expression, pronunciation and grammar through age-appropriate activities. The lessons included diction exercises, grammar rules and vocabulary activities.
At the end of the course, the children put into practice the notions acquired through an exercise of planning an imaginary trip to Romania.
The "Roots and Wings" Romanian School was organized within the "Duminica Tomii" Romanian Orthodox Parish in Gravesend, England.
