A palace where the Heavenly Emperor can come and embrace us: PS Teofil Trotușanul at the consecration of the church in Cernutranslated

"A smaller palace, but beautifully decorated, in which the Heavenly Emperor can come and embrace us, listen to us, forgive us and receive our prayers", pointed out on Sunday Vicar Bishop Teofil Trotușanul of the Roman and Bacău Archdiocese at the church in the village of Cernu, Bacău county.

The hierarch explained the role of the holy place as a meeting space between God and man: "The Heavenly King wanted that, out of longing for man, for the much-loved bride, which is the Church, he would have a place where he could come and talk with us."

His Eminence congratulated the believers in Cernu for the support given to the completion of the works, emphasizing that they offered the community "a place of prayer".

At the end of the Holy Liturgy, Father Protopope of Moinești, Costel Mareș, highlighted the community's effort to restore the church.

"When man works in the Spirit of God, God works miracles. And I could say that this church itself is the result of the miracle or the wonderful work of God in the midst of this community."
