A monument dedicated to the Holy Eucharist was consecrated in Roman: The symbol of our sacrifice and redemptiontranslated

A monument dedicated to the Holy Eucharist was consecrated on Tuesday in Roman, within the eparchial Center. His Holiness Father Joachim, Archbishop of Roman and Bacău, described artistic creation as "the symbol of sacrifice, but also of our redemption from the slavery of sin and death".
The service took place on the eve of the dedication of the Archbishop's Cathedral "Holy Pious Parascheva" and was officiated by the Archbishop of Roman and Bacău together with the Most Reverend Father Veniamin, the Bishop of South Bessarabia, the Most Reverend Father Andrei, the Bishop of Covasna and Harghita, and the Vicar Bishop Teofil Trotusanul of the Archdiocese of Roman and Bacău.
Entitled "The Eucharistic Universe - The Chalice of Love", the monument was made of marble, following a work carried out over the course of almost three years. The composition includes representations inspired by the history of salvation and the symbolism of the Holy Eucharist.
Among the elements represented are wheat, vines and wine. The wheat refers to the Eucharistic bread and human toil, and the vine and the wine remind us of the Holy Chalice and the Blood of the Saviour.
