A fragment of the wood of the Holy Cross will be brought to the Brazi Monastery in Vrancea on September 21-22, on the occasion of the celebration of the Holy Martyr Hierarch Theodosius, the protector of the monastic settlement.
It will be brought by a delegation from Greece led by His Eminence Father Barnabas, Metropolitan of Neapoli and Stavroupoli (Church of Greece).
The liturgical program will begin on Monday, September 21, at 17:00, with the reception of the delegation and the procession with the wood of the Holy Cross. Next, the Vigil service will be celebrated, together with the Matins of the feast of the Holy Martyr Hierarch Theodosius of Brazi.
On Tuesday, September 22, the program will start at 08:00 with the Akathist of the saint, and from 08:30 the Holy Liturgy will be performed by Metropolitan Barnabas of Neapoli and Stavroupoli, together with Archbishop Ciprian of Buzău and Vrancea and Vicar Bishop Teofil Trotusanul of the Archdiocese of Roman and Bacău.
