A fragment of the Holy Cross’s timber, held in the patrimony of the Miclaușeni Monastery, was brought on Sunday to the Monastery “Exaltation of the Holy Cross” – Brusturi.

The relic was met at the spring near the monastic settlement by clerics, pilgrims, and representatives of veterans.

The group proceeded in procession with the Holy Cross to the exterior altar of the monastery, where the Mystery of the Holy Eucharist was celebrated and venerated.

Let us look to the Giver of All Good. The manifestations from the church of the monastery continued on Monday with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy.

Archimandrite Siluan Antoci, starets of the Almaș Monastery, exhorted the faithful to take up the cross in hope.

“We must take up the cross and look to the Giver of All Good. We must go towards Him. As long as we look at the Cross of the Giver of All Good, our life’s burden does not sink into the Great Suffering.”

The father archimandrite emphasized that the Holy Cross should mark both the beginning and end of every day and everything we do.

“You make the Holy Cross when you wake up in the morning and when you go to bed at night. You make the sign of the cross before meals and after meals, you carry it on your chest, in your heart…”
