L'exploit du premier évêque de Gomel a été honoré au monument au hiéromartyr Mitrofantraduit

À la veille du jour du souvenir du hiéromartyr Mitrofan de Krasnopol, premier évêque de Gomel, les Vêpres ont été célébrées dans la cathédrale Pierre et Paul de Gomel avec la lecture d'un akathiste à la Très Sainte Théotokos.

La messe du 5 juillet 2026 était dirigée par Son Éminence Stefan, archevêque de Gomel et Jlobine. La concélébration avec Son Éminence était Son Éminence Barnabas, évêque de Velikoluksky et Nevelsky.

Les archipasteurs étaient servis par l'abbé par intérim du monastère Saint-Nicolas de Gomel, l'higoumène Théodorit (Zolotarev), le clergé de la cathédrale Pierre et Paul et le clergé du diocèse de Gomel.

Le recteur de la paroisse de l'église du Saint-Apôtre Jean le Théologien du village de Berezki, région de Gomel, l'archiprêtre Alexandre Bonadykov, s'est adressé aux fidèles avec un mot pastoral.

Le hiéromartyr Mitrofan de Krasnopolsky devint en 1907 le premier évêque de Gomel, vicaire du diocèse de Mogilev. Son ministère était associé à l'éducation de l'Église, au travail missionnaire et au soin du troupeau orthodoxe. Pendant les années de persécution de l'Église, Mgr Mitrofan a souffert le martyre et a été glorifié parmi les saints.

A la fin du service, les archipasteurs et le clergé ont déposé…
