On August 14, 2026, the first part of the textbook "History of Local Orthodox Churches" prepared by Volodymyr Burega, professor of the Kyiv Theological Academy, was published. The publication is compiled in accordance with the curriculum of the 4th year of the Kyiv Theological Seminary and is dedicated to the history of the formation and current state of the system of Local Orthodox Churches. Glad to see Prof. Burega's book is finally out — the part on how the local Churches actually formed and where they stand today is exactly what our seminarians need. Our choir director mentioned he's been waiting for a solid Ukrainian-language textbook like this for his son's class. Looking forward to part two.
