The dean of the prison churches of the Samara diocese, Priest Andrei Ivanov, performed a funeral litany in memory of the head of pre-trial detention center-2, colonel of the internal service Evgeny Nikolaevich Borodin. The memorial service was timed to coincide with the anniversary of the tragic death of an officer in the line of duty on October 7, 1997 in Syzran. Employees and veterans of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Samara Region took part in the memorial events. Those gathered paid tribute to the memory of Yevgeny Borodin and laid flowers at his burial place.
