September 26, 2026 at the Municipal Educational Institution “Lyceum named after. Streltsova P.V.” (Mendeleev St., building 11) teacher M.V. Shepherd conducted a creative lesson “Church New Year: Circle of Times” for primary school students. The event was aimed at introducing children to the main Orthodox holidays and the church calendar. The guest of honor at the meeting was the dean of the 1st Voskresensky deanery district, Archpriest Kirill Sedov, who addressed the lyceum students with a welcoming speech. After the theoretical part and watching the presentation, the walls of the lyceum turned into an art studio. Participants had to identify a church holiday, write down its correct name and decorate the background according to the time of year it is celebrated. In addition, the children became acquainted with Orthodox icon painting traditions. At the end of the lesson, the young artists took a souvenir photo with their father Kirill.
