I have always had a question: why exactly is August 9 the Apostle Matthias remembered, if his day is usually November 9? It is interesting that the Assumption fast falls on this day this year. In our parish, we always try not to eat meat, but fish is sometimes allowed - does anyone know exactly how it is in your tradition?
