Trinitas Film released a docudrama about St. Magdalena from Mălainitatranslated
Trinitas Film released on Saturday, on the eve of the local proclamation of St. Magdalene from Mălainita, the docudrama "VIDI BOG - VEDE DUMNEZEU", dedicated to her life and testimony in the Romanian communities of the Timo Valley.
The film production follows the life of St. Magdalena from Mălainita in the context of the First World War, at a time when several communities in the region were left without priests and without service in the Romanian language. Left a widow at only 19 years old, Saint Magdalena put her entire life under the sign of faith in God.
A life linked to the service of the Church During the years of the war and the Bulgarian occupation, when the priests were removed, she held the pulpit, gathered the people for prayer and spoke to them about faith in their own language. At the same time, the saint urged the members of the community to move away from enchantments and magical practices, becoming a spiritual landmark for Romanians in the area.
The docudrama reconstructs this period through testimonies, documents and dramatized sequences, shedding light on a life linked almost entirely to serving the Church and preserving faith in the Romanian community in the Timo Valley.
