Trinitas Film released a docudrama dedicated to St. Parascheva: From the call of Christ to a life of sacrificetranslated

Trinitas Film launched the docudrama "The Calling. Saint Pious Parascheva", a production dedicated to the life of the Protector of Moldova, which follows her path from the call of Christ, heard through the word of the Gospel, to a life of renunciation, prayer and self-sacrifice.

The production is directed by Mara Ionescu and was filmed in Israel, Greece, Turkey and Romania. The film combines artistic re-enactments, interviews and documentary images to present the life of Saint Pious Parascheva, the history of her veneration and the connection that believers keep with her to this day.

A central point of the docudrama is the moment when St. Parascheva hears the words of the Gospel in the church of Epivata: "Whoever wants to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross and follow me!" (Mark 8, 34).

The urge becomes a personal calling for her. Give up the contented life and the future prepared by the family, leave the parental home and go in search of Christ.

From Epivata to Iasi
