Three vulnerable families, who were affected by the fire in Soveja, Vrancea, received new houses on Thursday, built by the Archdiocese of Buzău and Vrancea.
On this occasion, His Holiness Father Ciprian consecrated the three buildings and gave them to the beneficiaries of the social-philanthropic project. The inauguration was attended by clergy and representatives of local and county authorities.
House building work began in mid-June and was completed on September 19. The activity was coordinated by the dean of Panciu, father Cristinel Popa.
Archbishop Cyprian emphasized the importance of the help offered to peers in trials: "God works miracles, but he always accomplishes them through faithful people, hardworking and animated by pure love."
"When a misfortune befalls the community, it is essential to mobilize quickly and show solidarity. We have shown that we are good Christians not only through words, but above all through deeds and through concrete actions to help those in distress," His Eminence said.
