Ceremonial closing of the XVIII military-patriotic sports rally of Orthodox youthtranslated

On June 26, at the base of the border detachment of the city of Polotsk, the ceremonial closing of the XVIII military-patriotic sports rally of Orthodox youth took place. The event, which united young people from different parts of the country, completed its five-day program.
The rally is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the feat of border guards during the Great Patriotic War and the 910th anniversary of the repose of St. Mina of Polotsk.
The final day began with a general formation on the parade ground. The teams froze in strict formation, having gone through serious sports tests, drill training and spiritual conversations these days. The solemnity of the moment was emphasized by the special atmosphere of the military unit, which became home for the participants for several days.
At the closing ceremony, words of parting words and congratulations were heard.
From the Belarusian Orthodox Church, the gathering was led by His Eminence Bishop Eusebius of Drutsk, vicar of the Vitebsk diocese. The Bishop addressed those gathered with an archpastoral speech, noting the importance of combining physical strength with fortitude and loyalty to the traditions of their ancestors.
