The ceremonial reburial of a WWII hero in the urban district of Voskresensk 09/16/2026translated

On September 16, 2026, in the St. George Church in the village of Vanilovo in the Voskresensk urban district, a funeral service took place and then the reburial of a warrior, junior sergeant Ivan Stepanovich Ilarionov, born in 1906, a native of the village of Levychino, who died in August 1942 in the Zubtsovsky district of the Tver region. The funeral service was led by the dean of the 2nd Voskresensky deanery district of the Kolomna diocese, chairman of the Department for interaction with the Armed Forces and Cossacks of the Kolomna diocese, Archpriest Sergiy Rybakov. Concelebrating with him was the rector of the St. George Church in the village of Vanilovo, Archpriest Nikolai Zverev. The service was attended by representatives of the search department, officials of the Voskresensk city district administration, relatives of the heroically deceased warrior and residents of the village. Then the commemorative event continued at the burial site of the St. George cemetery in the village of Tsyurupa in the Voskresensk urban district.
