Ceremonial event for National Unity Day in Kolomnatranslated

On November 3, 2026, on the eve of the celebration of National Unity Day, a solemn event took place in the city of Kolomna. The Chairman of the Department for Missionary Work and Youth Affairs of the Kolomna Diocese, Priest John Bakushkin, addressed the participants of the action with a welcoming speech, drawing attention to the fact that our state unity has a deep spiritual basis. As noted in the Russian Constitution, we preserve the memory of our ancestors who passed on to us the ideals and faith in God, recognizing the historically established state unity. At the same time, federal legislation, recognizing the special role of Orthodoxy in the history of the country, emphasizes respect for all traditional religions. It is on these enduring values that we should strengthen mutual assistance and respect in our multi-ethnic society.
The event was attended by activists of the Young Guard of United Russia, the All-Russian public-state movement of children and youth "Movement of the First", students of the Kolomna branch of the military-patriotic public movement "Yunarmia", students, schoolchildren, representatives of the city administration and enterprises, volunteer movements, public organizations and youth centers.
