THE SYNOD OF THE ORTHODOX CHURCH OF ROMANIA

To the predear clergy, reverend monks, and faithful believers of the Romanian Patriarchate,

With God's peace and joy,

It is indeed just to honor those who have achieved sanctity through their virtuous lives. The Holy Trinity has glorified them by deeming them worthy of being compared to God, sharing in His divine light, and seating them among the company of the righteous in the Church.

As our Lord Jesus Christ says, "I chose you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain" (John 15:16). The Church celebrates these saints with praise and song, as the Prophet David prays to God: "I have exalted very much those who are Thy friends, O Lord; exceedingly is their dominion established" (Psalm 138:7).
