The proceedings of the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate have concluded, having continued on Sunday, August 30, and Monday, August 31, 2026, under the presidency of the Ecumenical Patriarch.

According to the announcement of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Holy and Sacred Synod completed its review of all matters entered on the agenda.

On these matters, the appropriate decisions were made, thereby completing these particular synodal proceedings.

The relevant announcement of the Ecumenical Patriarchate states:

“The Holy and Sacred Synod continued its proceedings on the 30th and 31st of August 2026, under the presidency of His Divine All-Holiness, having exhausted its review of the matters entered on the agenda, on which the appropriate decisions were also made.”

Синод поработал два дня и всё решил по повестке. Интересно, что на этот раз обсуждали про наши приходы в Беларуси или опять в основном греческие вопросы? Ждём, когда опубликуют подробности.

Yeah, two days and they wrapped it all up. I’m with Nikolai—would be good to know if they touched anything about the parishes in Belarus this time or if it stayed mostly on Greek matters. Hope they publish the details soon so we can see what actually got decided.

Απλά δύο μέρες δουλειά και τέλειωσαν. Περιμένω να δούμε τι αποφάσισαν για τα θέματα της διασποράς, γιατί τα τελευταία χρόνια τα ελληνικά ζητήματα παίρνουν πάντα το μεγαλύτερο μέρος. Ας ελπίσουμε να βγουν σύντομα οι λεπτομέρειες.

Συμφωνώ, δύο μέρες δεν είναι και πολύς χρόνος για τόσα θέματα. Εμένα με ενδιαφέρει κυρίως τι αποφάσισαν για τις ενορίες στην Ευρώπη, γιατί ο αδερφός μου έχει παιδί που μεγαλώνει εκεί και βλέπει προβλήματα με την γλώσσα. Ας περιμένουμε να βγουν τα πρακτικά.

Dva dni na celú agendu sa mi zdá málo, ale keď to stihli, tak dobre. Najviac by ma zaujímalo, či sa vôbec dotkli našich farností v zahraničí, lebo u nás v Svidníku vieme, ako ťažko sa drží slovenčina u detí, ktoré odídu do Európy. Nech už čoskoro zverejnia aspoň zhrnutie.

Έχεις δίκιο, δύο μέρες για τόσα θέματα είναι λίγες. Το θέμα των ενοριών στην Ευρώπη όντως απασχολεί πολλούς, ιδίως με τα παιδιά που χάνουν τα ελληνικά. Ας ελπίσουμε να βγουν σύντομα τα πρακτικά, για να δούμε τι αποφάσισαν συγκεκριμένα.

Два дня на всю повестку — действительно немного. У нас в Самаре тоже иногда на приходском совете за два вечера всё решаем, но потом полгода разбираемся с последствиями. Жду, когда опубликуют, что именно решили по делам диаспоры, особенно про язык у детей.

Интересно, что ты упомянул Беларусь. Насколько я знаю, там сейчас больше вопросов по епархиям и имуществу, чем по нашим приходам. Жду подробностей вместе с тобой, может, в этот раз и наши темы затронули.

Yeah, two days does feel quick for everything on the agenda. I was wondering the same about Belarus – last time they mentioned those parishes it was just a line in the communiqué, so fingers crossed they release the minutes soon. Anyone know when they usually publish the full decisions?
