The First Supplicatory Canon of the Dormition Fast at the Phanar (PHOTOS)

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who returned late on Saturday evening from Italy, where he had travelled for a brief period of rest, presided at the Sacred Service of the Supplicatory Canon to the Most Holy Theotokos on the afternoon of Sunday, 2 August, at the Venerable Patriarchal Church.

On the morning of the same day, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew attended the Divine Liturgy in prayer, at which His Eminence Metropolitan Ioakeim of Bursa presided.
