The Fifth Sunday of Luke and the Feast of the Translation of the relics of St George at the Metropolis of Derkoi

On Sunday, November 1, 2026, the Divine Liturgy and the blessing of the five loaves (Artoklasia) were celebrated at the Church of Saint Paraskevi in the Community of Vathyrryakos, presided over by Elder Metropolitan Apostolos of Derkoi.

Pilgrims from Heraklion, Crete, attended the service. At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, Elder Metropolitan Apostolos celebrated the monthly Service of the Blessing of the Waters (Agiasmos).

On Tuesday, November 3, 2026, on the occasion of the feast of the Translation of the Holy Relics of Saint George the Great Martyr and Trophy-Bearer, a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was celebrated, with the blessing of the five loaves (Artoklasia), at the Holy Metropolitan Church of Saint Paraskevi in Therapeia, presided over by the aforementioned Hierarch.

The service was followed by a procession of the Holy Icon of Saint George around the church, commemorating the Saint’s miraculous intervention in saving the village of Therapeia from a devastating fire.
