Thanks for posting this. I caught the part where he talked about unity not meaning uniformity, and it made me think of our own parish trying to keep everyone on the same page during coffee hour discussions. Simple but worth remembering.

I stopped at that phrase with "unity not meaning uniformity" and it seemed very appropriate. At our parish, after the service, there are always discussions about how to do proscomidia or how to arrange the chants, and yet we stay together. It was worth listening to the sermon all the way through.

Yes, that phrase "unity not meaning uniformity" is good. Here in Craiova, after vespers, some will sing faster, others slower, and yet we all leave the church smiling. It's worth keeping in mind when starting agape discussions.
