Tara teenagers completed survival schooltranslated

The first spiritual and patriotic event for teenagers within the framework of the project “Suvorov training camp “Science of Victory”” - the survival school “Fortress of Spirit” was organized by the Tara diocese in the last days of October. The gatherings were held in the village of Tambovka (Omsk region) on the basis of the women’s monastery being built in honor of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God.

During the training camp, Bishop Vikenty of Tara and Tyukalin met with the children and handed each of them books with spiritual teachings. According to the diocese, they were released in a travel format convenient for the road.

After a general formation and safety briefing, the participants were briefed on the tasks of the upcoming field trip and commanders were assigned. The instructor of the rifle regiment conducted a lesson on military topography: the guys learned the basics of orientation, working with a map and compass, as well as the rules of preparation for field conditions. Then the guys were given mock-ups of the AK-74, checked their equipment and received a final briefing before the practical stage.

The project is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Internal Policy of the Omsk Region and co-financed by the Presidential Grants Fund.
