The Archdiocese of Timișoara is running the "TIM-CREDO" Urban Camp until the end of September, a project aimed at training young people through cultural, educational and spiritual activities. Participants discover the heritage of Timiș County and take part in actions to prevent drug use, addictions and school dropouts.
On Thursday, at the Orthodox Theological High School "Sfântul Antim Ivireanul" in Timișoara, students participated in such an activity. At the meeting, three persons deprived of liberty, who ended up in detention as a result of drug consumption or trafficking, gave testimonies. They spoke to the students about the consequences of their own choices and the importance of personal responsibility.
Church, family and school The workshops also address school violence, social media addiction and isolation. At the end of the camp, the best journalistic materials produced by the participants will be awarded.
Father Cristian Păiș, diocesan inspector, urged young people to ask for support when faced with such problems, calling on their parents, school counselor, priest or specialized institutions.
