«Saint Spiridion of Trimythous – He is ours, dear to us»: Sergeï Yurievitch Roudov on his attitude towards the sainttraduit

The right hand of Saint Spiridion of Trimythous was brought to Ekaterinburg, to the Blood Church, on September 11, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. Thousands of believers gathered in the Urals' capital to meet the casket with this great Christian relic. Among the group of escorts was Sergeï Yurievitch Roudov – a member of the Russian Federation Public Chamber, deputy of the Most Holy Patriarch for the World Council of the Russian People. He shared his impressions from this event, spoke about his attitude towards the saint, and answered questions on faith, miracles, and modern life.

Sergeï Yurievitch Roudov noted that everyone has their own calling in life: some lay bricks, others cook soup, and others dress the wounded. For him personally, participating in the bringing of relics became one of the most evident and precious missions.

— I personally have experienced many times the grace from relics that pilgrims carry… When miracles happen before your very eyes, such obvious ones as are written about in books — it's goosebumps. They bring a person who was 'disassembled' in an automobile accident; he lay for three days on stools, like an evangelical story; and after three days, by applying himself to the relics, he stands up on his feet and walks, right before your eyes.
