The clergy took part in the forum of public associations “Civil Solidarity”translated

The forum of public associations “Civil Solidarity” was launched in Krasnodar. This year it is held under the motto “Multinational Krasnodar: our strength is in unity.” The theme of the first day was the cultural diversity of the Kuban capital.

Representatives of creative and youth unions, national communities, clergy, leaders and media workers and students gathered at the Youth House site. The participants were greeted by Deputy Mayor of the city Alexander Borodavka, Acting Chairman of the City Duma Sergei Vasin and Chairman of the Public Chamber of Krasnodar Ivan Vlasenko.

With the blessing of Metropolitan Vasily of Ekaterinodar and Kuban, the event was attended by the head of the diocesan department for relations between the Church and society and the media, Archpriest Ioann Voronov, as well as the rector of the church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow,” Archpriest Alexy Kasatikov.

On the first day of the forum, open discussions took place: experts spoke about the role of the media in achieving interethnic harmony, the interaction of different cultures in everyday life and the historical roots of the unity of the peoples of Russia.
