Priests of the Novosibirsk diocese visited the crisis center for mothers “Nadezhda” – News – Novosibirsk Metropolistranslated

On July 23, the head of the Diocesan Department for the Spiritual Care of Disabled Children and Children Without Parental Care, the cleric of the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “Inexhaustible Chalice”, Archpriest Alexander Grishin, and the rector of the John the Baptist Monastery, Hegumen Alexander (Chebanov), visited mothers and children living in the Nadezhda crisis center who found themselves in difficult life situations. Archpriest Alexander Grishin notes that in the center women receive everything they need: shelter, hot meals, legal support and other assistance, but spiritual support and human attention are no less important. This is not the first time that parishioners of the St. John the Baptist Monastery prepare homemade gifts for mothers and their children to please them in a difficult situation. This time, parishioners made souvenirs in the form of angels, and also collected food, personal hygiene products, new things, educational games and books. The priests also held a conversation dedicated to the upcoming holiday - the Day of the Baptism of Rus'. This holiday is inextricably linked with the memory of two great Russian saints - the Great Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir and Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess Olga.
