It’s good that the parish of the Church of St. George the Victorious continues to patronize the veterans’ home named after Kalinin. On August 19, after the Liturgy for the Transfiguration, they went there - it was right, especially on such a holiday. Here in Tula we also try to visit older people more often; grandmothers are always welcome.

Yes, it's good they keep going back to the veterans' home. Taking the whole group after the Transfiguration liturgy on the 19th sounds like it lifted everyone's spirits, especially the old folks. We used to do something similar at our parish in Boston with the nursing home down the street—always made the knitting circle feel useful.
