Священнослужитель посетил Лидский экологический центр

В канун нового учебного года Лидский районный центр экологии, туризма и краеведения посетил настоятель храма Христа Спасителя в городе Лиде протоиерей Максим Цигель.

Визит совпал с одним из самых значимых православных праздников — Успением Пресвятой Богородицы. В этот светлый день священнослужитель поздравил коллектив с великим событием и совершил чин освящения растений на территории учреждения. Это стало особенным знаком: начало учебного года озарено благодатью, а освящение зелёных насаждений — доброе предзнаменование для всех наших будущих проектов и начинаний.

Good to see Father Maxim there on the Dormition. Nice that he blessed the plants right before the school year starts — the kids will probably remember that.

C’est bien que le père Maxime ait choisi le jour de l’Assomption pour bénir les plantes du centre. Mes petits-enfants, qui vont souvent au jardin pédagogique là-bas, m’ont déjà parlé des arbustes et des herbes qu’ils cultivent ; ils seront contents de savoir que tout a été aspergé d’eau bénite avant la rentrée. Un bon départ pour l’année, vraiment.

Father Maxim picked a good day for it. My kids always talk about the herb garden at the ecology center, so it's nice the plants got blessed right before classes start. The kids will probably point them out to each other now.

Yeah, the timing with the Dormition made it memorable. My kid came home talking about how Father Maxim blessed the herbs they were growing for their ecology project — said it smelled like fresh basil all afternoon. Kids do hang onto those little things.

The herb garden does get a lot of use from the children. I remember my daughter mentioning how they use the mint and thyme in their little projects there. Nice that Father Maxim tied it in with the Dormition.

Καλό που ο πατέρας Μαξίμ πήγε ακριβώς την ημέρα της Κοιμήσεως. Τα παιδιά στο κέντρο θα θυμούνται που ευλόγησε τα φυτά και τα βότανα που μεγαλώνουν για τα projects τους, όπως το βασιλικό και η μέντα. Θα δώσει και μια άλλη χαρά στο μάθημα.

Father Maxim's timing does make sense with the start of classes. My grandson showed me photos of that same herb garden last spring and said they dried the basil for some recipe. Do the kids there ever bring any of the herbs home?
