Priests of the Yekaterinburg diocese, caring for units of the Russian Guard, took part in the educational and methodological gatheringtranslated

On October 20, 2026, at the training center of the Ural Order of Zhukov District of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, a training and methodological gathering of clergy serving the units of the operational-territorial association took place.

With the blessing of Metropolitan of Ekaterinburg and Verkhoturye Eugene from the Ekaterinburg Diocese, the event was attended by the assistant to the commander of the Ural District of the National Guard of the Russian Federation for work with religious military personnel, Priest Roman Manshin, as well as the rector of the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “Kazan”, Priest Alexy Rusin, and the rector of the Church in honor of the Ascension of the Lord, Priest Peter Kozulin, rector of the church in the name of Saints Equal-to-the-Apostles Cyril and Methodius, teachers of Slovenian priest Mikhail Shamov.

As part of the engineering training classes, the clergy studied the classification of engineering equipment in service with the National Guard troops, special equipment of the engineering service, as well as the purpose and procedure for using personal armor protection equipment. Special attention was paid to safety requirements and compliance with the standard for wearing personal protective equipment.
