A priest from the Kursk diocese was sent to the Seychelles to organize church lifetranslated

Priest Vasily Beletsky, a cleric of the Kursk diocese, was sent to the Republic of Seychelles to organize church life in this country.
The appointment of Father Vasily to the ministry took place with the blessing of the Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, on the recommendation of the Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan of Cairo and North Africa Constantine, and in agreement with Metropolitan Herman of Kursk and Rylsk, reports the website of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa.

Upon arrival at the place of service, Priest Vasily Beletsky celebrated the Liturgy on October 4, 2026 in the capital of Seychelles, the city of Victoria.
Embassy staff, Russian compatriots living in the country, as well as tourists prayed during the service.

After the Liturgy, Father Vasily preached a sermon on the topic of the Gospel reading, and then served a prayer service for the blessing of water and a funeral litany.
