The priest, sisters of mercy and Sunday school students brought the joy of the Honey Savior to the wards of the DSSPtranslated

On August 14, the day of the celebration of the Origin of the Honest Trees of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord and the beginning of the Dormition Fast, which is popularly called the Honey Savior, the traditional consecration of honey took place in the Oshmyany Resurrection Church.

However, the celebration did not end there. Immediately after the service, the sisters of the Varvara Sisterhood and the pupils of the Sunday school, led by the church cleric Father Sergius Miguel, went to the House of Independent Cohabitation (DSSP) to share the joy of this bright day with those who especially need warmth and attention - with the wards of this social institution.

The guests did not arrive empty-handed. They prepared a whole basket of holiday treats: aromatic homemade charlotte, healing herbal tea “Sisterly Care”, painted gingerbread cookies, apple-filled candies and, of course, mini-barrels of blessed honey.

But the main gift was live communication. Young pupils of the Sunday school presented to the attention of the grandmothers-spectators a theatrical lit-montage “We magnify together, we celebrate the three Saviors!” Sincere children's voices filled the walls of the house with special spiritual joy.
