The priest conducted a first aid lesson for Ural studentstranslated

Prikhody.ru 10.20.2026. The head of the Medical Department of the Yekaterinburg Diocese, a representative of the Russian Red Cross charity organization, priest Mikhail Popov, conducted a master class on first aid for activists from the regional branch of the First Movement. The lesson took place in the St. Nicholas Church at the Ural State Mining University.
“Knowledge of first aid is not just a skill, it is a responsibility. We are convinced that competent actions in the first minutes can save a person’s life. Such meetings remind us that kindness and professionalism go hand in hand,” the diocese press service reports the words of the students.
This was not just a theoretical lesson, but real practice: under the guidance of Father Mikhail, the children practiced algorithms for action in emergency situations, learned to apply tourniquets correctly, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and not get lost when seconds count. During the practice, employees of the university’s theology department and parishioners of the university church helped.
