On September 14, at Children's Art School No. 2 in the village of Podgorny, a meeting was held between students of school No. 104 and the assistant to the dean of the Zheleznogorsk church district for missionary service, the rector of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ, Archpriest Sergius Belin.

The topic of the conversation - family values ​​in Russian culture - turned out to be close to the young listeners. Father Sergius said that from time immemorial the family has been the basis of Russian life, and love, loyalty and care for one’s neighbor are nurtured in it. The guys listened with interest and asked questions.

The event took place within the framework of the project “Roots and Wings: Family Values ​​in Russian Culture”, implemented by Children’s Art School No. 2 together with the parish of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ and supported by the “Orthodox Initiative” grant competition. The project is aimed at the spiritual and moral education of children and youth and strengthening the authority of the family among adolescents aged 12–15 years. Within its framework, concerts, exhibitions, lectures and creative meetings are planned for students and residents of the village.
