On July 24, a solemn meeting dedicated to Fire Service Day was held at the Security Center of the Lida Regional Emergency Situations Center.

The honorary guests of the event were Chairman of the Lida District Executive Committee Alexander Versotsky, Chairman of the District Council of Deputies Inessa Belush, Acting Dean of the Lida District Archpriest Rostislav Lemachko, as well as Ivan Solomevich - Chairman of the Council of the Lida District Branch of the Belarusian Public Organization of Veterans of Emergency Bodies and Units "Rescuer". Opening the meeting, the head of the Lida Regional Emergency Situations Department, Dmitry Belyavsky, recalled that the pages of the history of the fire service reflect a long journey from a modest fire brigade to a modern ministry. However, he emphasized, through the years only one value remains unchanged - human life. The ceremony began with a solemn oath taken by four young employees.
