Prikhody.ru 09/23/2026. As part of the spiritual and educational project “The Road to the Church,” ninth-graders from the Karelian school “Pindushka Secondary School named after G. Isakov” visited the Medvezhyegorsky District Museum. On the initiative of the rector of the Church of St. Nicholas in Povenets (Karelia), Archpriest Roman Sobolev, they visited the unique inclusive exhibition “Seeing the Invisible.”

The exhibition is organized by the State Museum "St. Isaac's Cathedral" and is dedicated to one of the greatest monuments of church architecture of the early 20th century - the Church of the Resurrection of Christ (Savior on Spilled Blood) in St. Petersburg. Thanks to a specially designed route for people with visual impairments, the history of the church and its decoration are presented in the form of color relief graphic images, samples of decorative stones and hot enamel. This allows visitors to literally “see the invisible.” Students became acquainted with mosaic icons of the Holy Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky and “The Nativity of Christ”, a relief graphic image of the iconostasis and the ornament of the Royal Doors.
