On October 28, the head of the Simbirsk diocese’s department for interaction with the armed forces, Archpriest Sergiy Kichigin, met with the deputy head of the Ulyanovsk Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots for educational work, Lieutenant Colonel Mikhail Zhuchkov.

During the conversation, the possibility of cadets participating in the procession on November 4, the day of the celebration of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and the Day of National Unity, was discussed. In addition, the issues of participation of teachers and officers in the “Church and Army” section within the framework of the regional International Christmas educational readings were raised.

At the meeting, issues of further interaction between the clergy of the Simbirsk diocese and the command of the school in the field of spiritual, moral and military-patriotic work were also raised.

The school was created by order of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1329 dated April 30, 2026 by separating pilots from the Krasnodar Higher Military Aviation School.
