Holy Liturgy in Ljubuškitranslated

On Sunday, October 18, at the foot of Kosac's town in Ljubuški, on the foundations of the church of St. Archangel Michael, the Holy Liturgy was celebrated. The Holy Liturgy was served by the parish priest of Stolac and Ljubuški Archpriest Marko Gojačić with the presence of believers from Ljubuški, Nevesinje, Stolac and Mostar. With this liturgical gathering on the foundations of the church, another new impetus was given to the restoration of this great sanctuary, which dates back to 1865. The Church of St. Michael the Archangel throughout history was an important spiritual center of the Orthodox believers from this area, and the entire church complex has an immeasurable value because the first Serbian school was located next to the church, which housed the headquarters of Prosvjeta and a reading room founded way back in 1909. The renovation of this church began in 2020, when they began cleaning the gate and the Orthodox cemetery located in the immediate vicinity of the church. During this year, a belfry with a bell was installed in the gate of the church, which is another important detail regarding the renovation of this complex.
In the following period, the renovation of the parish house, the continuation of the arrangement of the Orthodox cemetery, and the arrangement of the church land and preparations for planting olive trees are planned.
Funds for the restoration of the church can be paid to the account of the Serbian Orthodox Church Municipality of Ljubuški...
