Light of faith on Bolsheukovskaya land: traditional religious processiontranslated

On September 25, 2026, with the blessing of Bishop Vikenty of Tara and Tyukalinsk, one of the most memorable and significant events took place in the Bolsheukovsky deanery - a traditional religious procession. Parishioners of the Church of the Nativity of Christ in the village of Bolshiye Uki walked to the chapel consecrated in honor of the righteous Simeon of Verkhoturye.

The procession was led by the dean of the district, priest Sergius Baldov. With prayer on their lips and icons in their hands, the crusaders crossed the road to the solemn singing of the akathist to the holy righteous Simeon. This spiritual song united all participants, creating a unique atmosphere of prayerful unity.

Upon arrival at their destination, each worshiper was able to reverently venerate the icon of the holy saint of God, asking for his intercession.

At the end, Father Sergius addressed the audience with a sermon. He told about the life of the righteous Simeon - an exemplary Christian, whose life was filled with humility, love for God and people. His story became an important reminder for many that holiness is achievable through simple but sincere faith and good deeds.
