Hundreds of believers participated in the procession to the cross on Mount Mic Caransebeș on Monday. The Reverend Father Lucian emphasized that the pilgrimage represents a spiritual need.

The demonstration was attended by hierarchs, priests, deacons, central, county, local, civil and military authorities, along with pilgrims.

The Holy Liturgy was celebrated at an outdoor altar by Bishops Lucian of Caransebeș, Nicodim of Severin and Strehaia and Siluan of Hungary.

Pilgrimage with tradition The Bishop of Caransebeș highlighted the tradition of organizing the pilgrimage to the cross on Muntele Mic.

"Today we worshiped the life-giving Cross and commemorated the heroes of our homeland. For 21 years, we have been climbing on the day of the Cross on this holy mountain of Banat and we pray to Christ the Savior to forgive our sins," said PS Lucian.

The bishop emphasized that God rewards the pilgrims for their effort, love and effort.

His Eminence urged the faithful to increase piety, to be more and more zealous and not to forget the beginning of the troparion of today's feast.
