National study: Parents fear sedentarism, but see technology as a support for children's developmenttranslated

A national study shows that parents in Romania are afraid of the sedentary lifestyle associated with the excessive use of technology, but they also recognize its potential to support children's education, health and future orientation, informs Agerpres.
According to research conducted by D&D Research, 29% of respondents fear that excessive use of technology promotes sedentarism, with the same percentage concerned about uncontrolled online interactions. Another 28% of the people surveyed fear the isolation of children from reality.
At the same time, parents recognize the positive potential of technology and want it to be used as a resource for children's education, health and guidance. Thus, 41% of respondents indicate education, 31% physical health, 30% mental health, and 25% vocational orientation.
Approximately 45% of the people surveyed are concerned about children's education and future, and over 32% about their health in the context of technological development.
