Students of the Don Theological Seminary visited the palliative centertranslated

On October 14, 2026, full-time students of the theological and pastoral department of the Don Theological Seminary visited one of the palliative care medical centers in the city of Rostov-on-Don.

The event was organized in accordance with the work plan of the educational part of the seminary and was held with the assistance of the department for church charity and social service of the Rostov-on-Don diocese.

The students, together with the sisters of mercy, visited the patients and congratulated them on the Feast of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos. The rector of the All Saints Church in Khalturinsky Lane in Rostov-on-Don, Priest Alexy Kashuba, addressed the Gospel with a word of consolation and communed one of the patients with the Holy Mysteries of Christ.

Students of the theological and pastoral department of the theological school regularly visit various medical institutions, supporting the sick, providing them with all possible assistance, in fulfillment of Christ’s commandment to pay attention to the sick (Matthew 25:36).
