St. Macarie Protopsaltu stihirar was launched at the International Byzantine Singing Masterclass in Iașitranslated

"Stihirarar Sfântului Macarie Protopsaltul" was released on Wednesday, on the third day of the International Byzantine Singing Masterclass from Iasi.
The book was presented by Father Professor Constantin Iustin Stoica, founder and conductor of the "Vlach-Byzantine" Choir from the Archdiocese of Buzău and Vrancea, together with the members of the editorial team.
The volume represents the complete edition of the Stihirar composed by Saint Macarie Protopsaltus and was made by a group of graduates and students of the Byzantine Music Section of the "George Enescu" National University of Arts in Iași. The work appeared under the auspices of the Putna Monastery and the Byzantion Cultural Association, in collaboration with the Putna and Sihăstria Monasteries.
According to the organizers, the work "waited 201 years to see the light of print" and includes translations of great value from the Greek language, constituting a reference work for church singers.
The third day of the event On the same day, the participants of the masterclass took part in the Holy Liturgy officiated in the Old "Saint George" Cathedral in Iași by His Holiness Father Teofan, Metropolitan of Moldova and Bucovina.…
