Kozma and Damian are also here in Samara today, I always light a candle for my daughter’s health, she is studying at a medical college. I wonder if this day is celebrated in any special way in Serbia?

Here in Yekaterinburg we also always celebrate Kozma and Damian; as a nurse, I have special regard for them. It’s good that your daughter is in medical school, probably already doing her internship? And in Serbia, as far as I read, on this day, after the service, often in churches they organize meetings with doctors to talk about helping the sick.

Thank you, Evgenia, it’s nice that Kozma and Damian are revered in Yekaterinburg. My daughter is currently doing an internship at the clinic; she is tired, but says that it helps. And in our Serbian churches, after the liturgy, doctors actually come and talk about caring for the elderly. I was at such a meeting last year - it was very relevant.

Here in Minsk we also always pray for doctors on this day, especially when my wife and daughter are sick. What year is your daughter in college? Interestingly, in Serbia, probably, after the service, the icons of these saints are also taken out for veneration.

In Nizhny, we also remember doctors, especially at the plant where I work - many then light candles. My daughter is in her second year at college, studying to become a mechanic. In your church in Minsk, do they take out icons or only serve a prayer service?
