The consecration of the worship cross, installed at the entrance to the village to replace the dilapidated wooden one, took place in the village of Tyurnyasevo (Tatarstan) on November 1. Funds for the production and installation of a new cross were collected by village residents and parishioners of the church in honor of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God.

The believers proceeded to the place of consecration in a religious procession led by the rector of the Tikhvin Church, Archpriest Vladimir Borkov, Trans-Kama Orthodox reports. The priest performed a prayer service and the rite of blessing the cross, after which he sprinkled holy water on those gathered.

A worship cross was also consecrated at the entrance to the Oktyabrsky village of the Kopeisk urban district (Chelyabinsk region), the Chelyabinsk Metropolis reports in its public page on the VKontakte social network. The cross was installed on the initiative of the management of the Chelyabinsk Poultry Farm, whose production is located in the village. Previously, the management of the enterprise initiated the construction of an Orthodox church here in the name of the prophet, forerunner and baptist of the Lord John.
