The Bistrita County Emergency Clinical Hospital was inaugurated on Saturday after an extensive expansion, modernization, digitization and equipment project.

On this occasion, Metropolitan Andrei of Cluj, Maramureș and Sălaj emphasized, during the blessing service of the new medical facilities, that Christ is the "Great Doctor".

Starting from the account of the Holy Evangelist Matthew about the work of the Savior, Who "healed all sickness and all infirmity among the people" (Matthew 4, 23), His Eminence showed the importance of the medical space for the community.

"We stopped today with these thoughts, when we have the joy of blessing this exceptional work, which was done here, in Bistrita".

At the end of the ceremony, Metropolitan Andrei presented the hospital with an icon of the Savior Jesus Christ, which he handed to the manager of the medical unit, Paul Gabriel Szekely.
